Cowry Exploration
Cowry Exploration is an E&P company that is based in Denver, CO and is focused on producing oil & gas in North Dakota. We are currently drilling outside of Williston North Dakota in Stockyard Creek. Our land acquisition and drilling program started back in 2007, and plans have all initial wells being completed by 2012. This field has been layed out and projected to have 16 initial wells and a disposal facility. We have currently drilled 12 wells (10 Bakken, 2 Mission Canyon), and have 8 on production, with a total of 10 producing wells by the end of 2011. The 3 remaining wells are planned to be drilled and completed in 2012. While the focus of this field is to produce from the Bakken, new technologies and evidence show that the Three Forks formation will be just as productive or better than the Bakken. Future plans are to drill multiple in-fill wells, and test the Three Forks Formation.
